Longhorns coach Keith Lawrence knew that Ethan Roberts could get a bunt down in a key situation.
It's because Lawrence has witnessed it before.
Roberts put down a squeeze bunt with the bases loaded in the fourth inning that scored Shemar Crawford and the Longhorns defeated the MuckDawgs 4-3 at the United States Sports Specialty Association 11-year-old State Tournament in Class AAA.
"It's two weeks in-a-row that I called it and it was by the grace of God that the same kid I called it with the last time was at-bat," Lawrence said. "I knew he could lay it down. I called time to tell him what to do, hit it to the third baseman and it worked out the same way.
"I told (the team) to keep (the game) close and the coaches would get you through."
