It makes coach Keith Lawrence extremely nervous when he sees his Longhorns fall behind in games.
He knows sooner or later it may catch up with them in the tough United States Sports Speciality Association 11 State Tournament.
Through two games, the Longhorns proved they were capable of making up for a slow start.
After rallying to win a 4-3 decision in their first game of the tournament on Thursday, the Longhorns were at it again on Friday by defeating Mississippi Indians 8-7 at the Starkville Sportsplex.
The Longhorns saw the Indians jump out to a 4-0 lead before they could even get a turn at the plate.
"We started out a little rough and had two or three errors and gave up four runs," Lawrence said. "It was another game where we had to fight back. We just can't make it easy on ourselves."
