Authorities deem recent shooting as ‘self-defense’

Authorities do not expect to file any criminal charges in a fatal Webster County shooting incident that left one man dead.

Webster County Sheriff Tim Mitchell said investigators have determined the shooting, which occurred between 7 and 8 p.m. Saturday night in the Clarkson community in east Webster County, occurred in self-defense.
