City may consider relocating SPD - CAO to address aldermen about possible land purchase opportunity

July 1, 2014

The future of Starkville Police Department may ultimately not be tied to the building that is now City Hall, especially if the Board of Aldermen get on board with another option that may be on the table.

Starkville Chief Administrative Officer Taylor Adams is slated to address the board this evening about potential land acquisition that would facilitate relocating the police department instead of renovating the existing City Hall building for department expansion once the new Municipal Complex is complete next year. Aldermen will meet for its regular session at 5:30 in the City Hall courtroom.
