Dizzy Dean 7-year-old South State Tournament director Randy Carlisle has been busy getting McKee Park ready for the event that takes place beginning Friday in Starkville.
During that time, he has been able to catch a glimpse of some of the teams that will be participating in the tournament.
Carlisle believes if people will come to check out some of the action, they will be impressed.
"Anytime we can bring more baseball to the area, it's a good thing we feel like and we've got 10 teams ready to go Friday afternoon to get started," Carlisle said. "There are going to be some very good teams. I've seen a couple of them play in scrimmages and warm-up tournaments and there are some good kids on some good teams that are scheduled to be here."
