HOOVER, Ala. – Expectations are high in Starkville this season for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and head coach Dan Mullen didn't shy away from that fact at the Southeastern Conference media days on Tuesday.
Mullen has accepted those expectations and even said some of those have come from the Bulldogs themselves.
"When you look at expectations for the season, I think how last season ended with a lot of young guys coming back on our team," Mullen said. "Our team immediately put a lot of expectations on themselves. Right from day one of the workouts, (and) the winter conditioning, what they wanted to accomplish this year, (and) what they felt they could accomplish (was evident), so we've talked to them about it, (and) embrace all those expectations."
