Clippers reach semifinals of 12U AAA World Series

MCDONOUGH, Ga. – The Northeast Mississippi Clippers have won their first four games of the United States Sports Speciality Association 12-under AAA World Series and have moved into the semifinal round.
After advancing out of pool play with wins against Thomasville, Ga., 9-7, and Foundation Sports (Stockbridge, Ga.) on Wednesday, the Clippers defeated the Palmetto Diamondbacks from South Carolina 10-2 and the Thomasville Crushers 7-6 in tournament play on Thursday.
Jack Perry hit a grand slam home run to put the Clippers in front at 7-6 against the Crushers.
The Clippers earned the day off today and will participate in the semifinal round on Saturday at a time to be announced.
