Longhorns earn No. 1 seed after World Series pool play
GULF SHORES, Ala. â€“ Longhorns Baseball finished pool play the United States Sports Speciality Association 11-under AA World Series with an unblemished 4-0 record and begins tournament play today as the No. 1 seed.

The Longhorns are scheduled to play Arkansas Panthers at 9 a.m.
In a very competitive game, the Longhorns defeated River Valley (Ark.) 4-3 first on Thursday.
Nasir Brown pitched two innings, while Jesse Roberts worked three innings of relief.
Chad O'Neal had two hits for the offense.
The Longhorns followed that up with a 12-2 victory over the Louisiana Knights.
Brown had a two-run home run for the Longhorns. It was his second home run of the World Series. O'Neal added two more hits to his total.
In the pitching department, Braylon White hurled two innings and Jatavious Lucious threw one inning.
The Longhorns won their first two games of pool play on Wednesday by defeating Kentucky Mayhem 12-4 and Coastal Wave (Ala.) 8-0.
Against Kentucky Mayhem, Nasir Brown had a double and home run for the Longhorns, while all 12 players had a hit in the game against Coastal Wave.
Kevin Smith pitched three innings against Coastal Wave and Braylon White finished the game on the mound to complete the shutout.
"It was great pitching and defense," Longhorns coach Keith Lawrence said.
