There has been quite a bit of anticipation for the new college football playoff format that will be used for the first time this season.
A playoff to determine a national champion in college football is something that many people have wanted for a long time.
Now that it's a reality, there is still a mystery among some, including coaches, about how exactly the new playoff system will work.
"It's really interesting with the new playoff system because nobody really knows how it's going to affect us," Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen said last week at SEC media days. "I don't know how the selection process is going to be made. I don't know that anybody does until they get into the room and start selecting teams."
