Preparations continue at the Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point for the ninth annual ISPS Handa Cup and tournament chairman Rick Milburn has been pleased with the progress.
It's only about two more months before the LPGA Legends make their way to Old Waverly as the U.S.A team looks to reclaim the Handa Cup that Team World captured last year.
The tournament itself will take place Sept. 27-28, but activities begin on Sept. 25 with the opening ceremonies at Old Waverly.
Milburn said the organization of the tournament has been going "super well."
"The committees are getting their tasks done for the tournament," Milburn said. "Sponsorships are coming along real well and advertising has been going well the last couple of weeks."
Old Waverly never disappoints as far as course conditions, but Milburn said inspection has taken place from the greens to the tee boxes and the fairways.
