You can feel it in air.
Whether it is the coolness that has swept over the region as of late or the influx of students descending on Starkville, it is clear that fall is headed our way and with it comes the beginning of football season.
While Mississippi State might not kick its season off until August 30, area high schools will gear up a little earlier. Starkville Academy sees its first action on August 22 when Lamar School comes to town and in order to be ready the Volunteers are in full swing when it comes to practice.
"We have gotten off to a good start," SA coach Jeff Terrill said. "We had a good couple days this week and are in pretty good shape."
