Raphael Leonard is a man of few words, but coach Jamie Mitchell says when he speaks, people listen.
To be honest, Leonard does not have to do much talking. Instead, he simply lets game do all the work.
"He is a huge play maker for us," Mitchell said. "It certainly makes my job easier. We just have to make sure he gets plenty of touches on Friday nights because he is going to make big plays."
Much of Leonard's talent is natural, but the Starkville senior does not shy away from hard work. Since the wide receiver joined the varsity squad, Mitchell doesn't remember one time where Leonard missed a workout.
"He is a committed player," Mitchell said. "His length, height and his speed are great, but the thing that impresses me so much is as a wide receiver, he hasn't missed a summer workout."
