The Starkville Academy Lady Volunteers had lost back-to-back matches and were looking for something positive to happen.
It came on Tuesday afternoon at the Starkville Sportsplex.
Starkville Academy started fast with two first-half goals, while Sydney Passons capped the scoring in the second half to defeat Pillow Academy 3-0.
Passons was happy to see the hard preparation for the Lady Vols pay off.
"You have to stay positive and know if you work together and play like we do in practice, that you'll be able to come out on top," Passons said.
