Supes have first draft of comprehensive plan

August 20, 2014

Oktibbeha County supervisors are reviewing a first draft of the county's comprehensive plan, which includes a future land use plan. The map, included in the draft, lays out potential land use in the county, with dark yellows representing residential land, red representing commercial, blue representing public/semi-public land and purple representing industrial areas. The first draft of Oktibbeha County’s comprehensive plan is complete and supervisors will now have time to review it and suggest changes.
Oktibbeha County entered into an agreement with Oxford-based Slaughter & Associates urban planning consultants in 2013 to develop the comprehensive plan, which has been described numerous times as a “roadmap” to lay out plans for county development for the next 20-25 years.
