SA offense strikes before lightning does

August 21, 2014

Starkville Academy saw hard work come to fruition Thursday evening as the junior varsity Volunteers secured a 12-6 victory over visiting Winston Academy.
For the last week, SA has been working on a little combination involving quarterback Griffin Little and Taylor Arnold and after holding the Patriots to three and out, Starkville Academy tested it out.
The resulting play was a 74-yard touchdown pass from Little to Arnold placing the team ahead early on.
"We have been practicing it for about a week," Arnold said. "Everybody was predicting it would help us score on the first play and we did."
