Several Bulldogs selected second, third team All-SEC

August 21, 2014

Mississippi State didn't have any players on the Coaches Preseason All-Southeastern Conference first team.
The teams were unveiled on the new SEC Network Thursday. Both commentators on the network felt like a couple of Bulldogs may have been snubbed.
Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy felt Bulldog junior linebacker Benardrick McKinney should have made the first team. Former LSU defensive tackle Anthony McFarland said Bulldog defensive lineman Chris Jones was the biggest snub on the defensive side of the ball.
McKinney and Jones were both selected to the second team. They also made the All-SEC second team as decided by the media last month.
