Experience matters in everything from “football" to "tiddlywinks.”
The Starkville Academy Volunteers will be calling on their enhanced level of experience tonight as they kick off the 2014 football season by welcoming Lamar School to J.E. Logan field.
“Of course first we are playing the defending state champions,” Vols coach Jeff Terrill said. “We are also playing a team that is predicted to win the south and be in that game again, so it is going to be a tremendous challenge.”
The challenge that arises with playing the Raiders is not just from the fact they are the defending champs. Lamar got to that position for a reason and when it comes to their on the field play Terrill says the Raiders are strong on multiple fronts. From offense to defense, they have the weapons needed to make tonight a good game.
