There’s a running thread in Mississippi State University’s recent concerts — a streak of some things Southern, and many things country.
It began in August with country music legend Merle Haggard’s performance for the MSU Lyceum Series. It will continue Oct. 30 when the Humphrey Coliseum welcomes the “little ol' band from Texas” ZZ Top. And when Bulldog Bash descends on the Cotton District Oct. 3, it will bring two more country bands and one more southern-born rock band to Starkville.
