Smith holds book signing this afternoon

Mississippi State graduate Charles E. Smith Jr. will be signing copies of his book “Ministry of Sorrow” at Book Mart and Cafe’ today from 4 to 5 p.m. 
Smith began his ministry by leading two Southern Baptist churches as the senior pastor during the first 8 years of his vocational service, and then traveled across the United States and around the world to conduct Harvest Crusades, Bible Conferences, Church Revivals, and Mission Campaigns as an itinerant evangelist for nearly 12 years. 
During a 6-year span, he served as a trustee of  the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, giving oversight to the work and ministry of 5,300 missionaries across the globe. He is presently serving as pastor for DayStar Church in Starkville. 
Pastor Charles is married to the former Tammy Oglesby of Sturgis and they have two daughters in college: Apryl and Laurie. “The Ministry of Sorrow” is his first book.
