The funeral for Brenda Joyce Hampton will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Gregory Jones will officiate.
Visitation will be held today from noon to 5 p.m. with a family hour from 5 to 6 p.m. at West Memorial Funeral Home in Starkville, which is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Hampton, 58, died on November 5, 2010 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was an office assistant at Mississippi State University for 24 years. She was born in Oktibbeha County and a Baptist. She was a member of Class of 1969.
Survivors include her husband, Willie B. Hampton of Starkville; sisters, Deborah Clay of Starkville and Wanda Clay of Jackson; brothers, Eric Clay Sr., Willie Clay, Kent Clay and Metric Clay all of Starkville; grandchildren, Michael Oden II and Kadijah Wilkins; great-grandchildren, Travion Guy and Marques Oden, all of Starkville; and mother-in-law Lorene B. Outlaw of Starkville.
