Gerald H. Pickle, 84, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at his home in Canton.
Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 p.m. at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, which is handling the arrangements.
A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Leake County.
A native of Leake County, Mr. Pickle was a longtime resident of Madison County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his son, Gerald Pickle Jr. of Canton; daughter, Beverly Roeckel of Canton; brother, Warren Lavon Pickle of Pearl; sister, Bobbie Garner of Pearl; grandsons, Clayton Haley Pickle (Laura), Charles Lance Pickle, and Jason Floore (Mindy); great-grandson, Tanner Floore; and his loyal companion, Hero.
