Catherine Jeannette Bailey of Madison announces the engagement of her daughter, Martha Jeannette (Missy) Ingels to Wesley Mann Black, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bay Black of Starkville. The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Edgar Dalrymple Ingels, III.
Miss Ingels is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Coyt Bailey, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Dalrymple Ingels, Jr., all of Jackson.
She is a 2003 graduate of Jackson Academy and Missy earned a degree in International Business with a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Mississippi State University. Miss Ingels is employed by BancorpSouth.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Emmett R. Black and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius D. Mann, all of Starkville.
Mr. Black is a 2001 graduate of Starkville Academy. Wesley earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Mississippi State University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is employed by Cellular South in Ridgeland.
The couple will be wed in a 3 p.m. ceremony on St. John, USVI, December 4, 2010.
