Actress with local ties cast as Tiny Tim

November 28, 2010

Tessa Taylor, nine-year-old daughter of John B. Taylor, formerly of Starkville, and granddaughter of Fred and Mary Taylor of Starkville has been cast in the role of Tiny Tim in this season’s performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at the South Coast Repertory in Orange County, California.  This is her first professional role.  She will be performing in 17 shows between Thanksgiving and Christmas along with Hal Landon who is in his 32 consecutive year playing the role of Mr. Scrooge.  Her grandparents plan to see two of the shows during a trip to California in December. The picture shows Daniel Blinkoff, who has played Bob Cratchit for the past eight years, holding Tessa on her shoulder.
