New police officers sworn in

Starkville Municipal Court Judge Rodney Faver, left, administers the oath of office to new Starkville Police Department officers, from left, Gabrielle Hernandez, Greg Bell and Steven Jones during a brief ceremony at City Hall Wednesday afternoon. Hernandez and Wilson will soon head to the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy in Pearl for training and certification. Bell, who previously worked as an officer for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, has already begun work.
