ACKERMAN — The funeral for Dr. James B. Bryant will be will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ackerman Baptist Church with burial in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.
The Revs. Danny Irvin and Danny Bryant will officiate.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home and Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at Ackerman Baptist Church.
Dr. Bryant, 80, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at his home in Ackerman.
Born in Union County, he was a dentist for 49 years and a member of Ackerman Baptist Church. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Caldwell Bryant of Ackerman; daughters, Beth (Kent) Davenport of Wetumpka, Ala., and Amy (Brad) Womack of Tupelo; brothers, Danny (Connie) Bryant of New Albany and Sammy (Willie) Bryant of Ripley; sister, Tommie (Jack) Harris of Ripley; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Ackerman Baptist Church Family Life Center or United Way.
Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
