Police: Help is needed to identify local shoplifter

The Starkville Police Department needs the public’s help to identify a shoplifting suspect from security film from a local business.
On Feb. 8, a local business reported to the Starkville Police Department a case of shoplifting that occurred in the evening of Feb. 7.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s. He was seen wearing a yellow “M&M’s” coat, dark jeans, and white tennis shoes.
This subject left the store after taking two items from the electronics department and was seen on surveillance video putting those items into a small white car.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Starkville Police Department Investigation Bureau at 323-0393.
