Boots, chaps and cowboy hats… nothing else will matter tonight!
The annual Rotary Classic PRCA Rodeo is back at the Mississippi Horse Park with the final night of competition.
Don’t miss the spills and thrills as different contestants will be challenged by some of the toughest stock around.
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association is a premier sanctioning body of rodeo that provides superior rodeo events that qualify competitors to compete in the National Finals, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Rodeo action will include bareback, saddle bronc, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping and girl’s barrel racing. Come out for the wildest show on dirt as they risk it all and fear nothing on National Rodeo Finals (NFR) bulls like Secret Agent.
With the Dixie Nationals going on at the same time in Jackson, the Rotary Classic Rodeo draws some of the best cowboys around to compete each night.
Not only will this bucking frenzy be entertaining for the whole family but the rodeo is also the Starkville Rotary Club’s largest fund raiser of the year.
All of the proceeds are donated to a local charity and this year will benefit the Tuition Guarantee Program overseen by SOAR. Associated with East Mississippi Community College, this program provides opportunities for students in Lowndes, Oktibbeha and Clay Counties to attend college tuition free. Kid tickets are just $5 Saturday night. Come to the arena early Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. for the free petting zoos and pony rides with admission to rodeo.
