Nominations are now being accepted for the 2011 Outstanding Women Awards Program, sponsored by the Mississippi State University President’s Commission on the Status of Women.
The President's Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) was created in the late 1970s to advise the university president on issues affecting the status and role of women on campus. For more than three decades, it has continued to provide informational and educational programs to address the concerns of women at the university.
Nominations will be accepted for any of the following categories: Community, Mississippi, Faculty, Professional (non-faculty), Graduate Student, Undergraduate Student, Service/Maintenance, Executive/Administrative/Managerial, Technical/Paraprofessional, and Secretarial/Clerical.
MSU faculty, staff, and students are invited to nominate campus and community women for the awards using the nomination form available at http://www.committees.msstate.edu/pcsw/forms.php on the PCSW website along with two letters of recommendation and a CV or resume. The winners for each category will be honored at a free public reception on April 5.
