ACKERMAN — Funeral services for Nancy Dovie Ray Black will be 2 p.m. today at Ackerman United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bryan Carrubba officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery near Ackerman, with Coleman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Black, 76, of Ackerman, died Feb. 18, 2011, at her home. She was a member of Ackerman United Methodist Church. She was a retired factory worker. Mrs. Black was born in Choctaw County on Sept. 26, 1934.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Black, Sherry (Monty) Griffin, and Cynthia (Bill) Long, all of Ackerman; four grandchildren, Cinda (Justin) Markham, Suellen Long, Sam Griffin and Sharon (Benjie) Shearer; and two great-grandchildren, Caroline Markham and Julia Markham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam E. and Vera Prewitt Ray; sisters, Juanice Ray Miles and Jolene Ray Burney; and her brother, Jerome Ray.
