Ever think about doing something fun while helping others? Then getting out and bowling a few frames might be just the thing to do on a Saturday next month.
Helping Hands Ministries of Oktibbeha County will hold Rock 'N Bowl at Bulldog Lanes March 26.
To continue to serve the needs of those in the community, Helping Hands needs to raise funds, awareness and community involvement, said Elaine Baker, president of the organization's Board of Directors.
Proceeds will go to Helping Hands to meet the emergency needs of families and individuals.
Organizers hope to draw the help of churches, sororities, fraternities and others "to get out and contribute to a good cause," Baker said.
Gold-level sponsorships are $1,000 and they'll get two teams plus inclusion in promotions. Silver-level sponsorships are $500 along with promotion inclusion.
At the team level, a four-person team is $125.
Registered teams will pick a shift between 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.
Door prizes will be given away. Participants will receive a T-shirt.
Deadline to register is March 6.
Helping Hands is a United Way-supported agency.
