Ruth Inez Ziegler, 96 of Starkville passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Oktibbeha Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time today at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Colonial Chapel of Raleigh.
Mrs. Ziegler was born September 19, 1914. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Ruth was lovingly known as “Gran,” she loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Nathaniel Mitchell Ziegler and John Clayton Ziegler both of Texas; grandchildren, Kim (Stanley) Robertson of Starkville, Mitch (Rhonda) Ziegler of Winsoboro, Texas, Tres (Brent) Townsend of Brandon, Sherri (Michael) Howell and John Clayton Howell, both of Ft. Worth, Texas; great-grandchildren, Suzanne Robertson, Katherine Robertson, Stephen Robertson, Bradley Robertson, Megan Ziegler, Sarah Howell, John Michael Howell, Grace Ziegler, Pierce Ziegler.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Lester and Emma Wilcox Briggs; husband, Herbert Mitchell Ziegler.
