Betty Jean Mosley Wilson, 79, passed away on April 1, 2011, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. She was a devoted homemaker with great love for her husband and family, always seeking to put their needs above her own. She was also an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. Moseley and Oda D. Sigler Moseley; her infant daughter; two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Wilson of Starkville; daughters, Pickett Wilson and husband, Will Locke of Starkville, and Carolyn McKenzie and husband, Bert of Starkville; son, Rodney Wilson of Arlington, Texas; sister, Irma M. Cardwell of Akron, Ala.; four grandchildren, Sean Steinwedel, Lauren Galletti, Wilson Locke and Barnes Locke; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville and then on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Starkville.Â
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Rev. George Buell will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mission Fund at Aldersgate United Methodist Church or Starkville Habitat for Humanity.
