MILLPORT, Ala. —Funeral services for Olen Trapp will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Andrews Chapel Church with Bro. Chester Shaw officiating.
Burial will be at the church cemetery in Pickens County with Dowdle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Andrews Chapel Church.
Mr. Trapp, 84, of Millport, Ala., died April 1, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital—Golden Triangle in Columbus. He was born Nov. 19, 1926 to James Belton Trapp and Madie Alexander Trapp in Pickens County, Ala. Mr. Trapp was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II. He then worked as a presser at Seminole Manufacturing for 42 years.
Survivors include a special friend, Shirley Reeves of Bartahatchie; his daughters, Beverly (Bobby) Hooks of Starkville, Cindy (Stan) Brewer of Tupelo, and Tiffany (Ken) Trull of Millport, Ala.; granddaughters, Kathryn Hooks Vaughan, Morgan Hooks Trotter, Marylea Hooks, Lauren Trull, Lana Trull and Lindsay Trull; and three great-grandsons.
Pallbearers include Alvin Trapp, Wayne Trapp, Randy Shelton, Mervin McNees Jr., and Robert Rush.
Memorial donations may be made to Bartahatchie Baptist Church in Bartahatchie.
