Woodrow Cox, 92, passed away on May 5, 2011 in Kosciusko.  He drove for Gulf Transport Bus line until 1964 and then owned and operated the Sessums Grocery until he retired.  He was a member of Artesia Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon.  He was also a WW II Army veteran, receiving the Purple Heart.  He was a member VFW, American Legion and was a York Rite Mason.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Milton Cox and Sally Lynn Walker and his wife, Margie Ellzey Cox. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Cox Howard; brother, Robert Henry Cox; and twin brother, Wilson Cox.
He is survived by his nieces, Bobbie Jean Warren (O. D.) of Dothan, Ala., Linda Alexander (Doug) of Starkville, Clare Herrick (Scott) ofBainbridge, Ga.; and nephew, Robert Gillespie Cox (Peggy) of Brandon.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 from 10-11 a.m. at Artesia Baptist Church, with the funeral service immediately following.  Rev. Jeff Morgan and Rev. Ben Yarber will conduct the service.  Burial will be in Artesia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Artesia Baptist Church, P. O. Box 217, Artesia, MS 39736 or to your favorite charity.
