Mary Anne S. Parrish

Mary Anne Switzer Parrish, 86, passed away on May 24, 2011, at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala., after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of Lee Roy and Mary Ellen Switzer of Columbus. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Starkville. She was also a member of the Sessums Women’s Club and a noted dress maker. She was a loving wife and mother who will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Parrish is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joe Parrish of Starkville; daughter, JoAnne Parrish Webster of Birmingham, Ala.; son, Terry Parrish (Marcia) of Starkville; two grandsons, Parrish Webster (Katherine) and Chris Parrish (Erin); four great grandchildren; she is also survived by three sisters and one brother.
Visitation for Mrs. Parrish is scheduled for Thursday, May 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 27 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home. Rev. Clifton Curtis will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Park Cemetery.
