Joyce Morgan Smith

Joyce Mae Morgan Smith, 85, passed away on June 2, 2011 at her residence in Starkville.  She was retired with Garan Manufacturing and a member of Starkville Church of God.  She was also an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Currie Lane Smith; son, Hardy Smith; and twin daughters, Linda and Brenda Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Smith Henley of Laurel; son, Jim Smith (G.A.) of Collierville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jason Henley, Hilary Burroughs, Cassie Bird, Courtney Wiseman and Kim Monaco; and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Smith is scheduled for today from 5-8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 4 at 2 p.m. at Starkville Church of God in Starkville. Rev. Hank Anderson will conduct the service.  Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
