Community-wide VBS brings three churches together

On June 6-10, House of Yahweh, It’s a New Season Ministry and Jesus of Nazareth C.O.G.I.C. joined together for a night-time Vacation Bible School titled, The New Covenant Community. The theme scripture for the VBS was Luke 22:20:”This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” The theme song was “God Is So Good.” Volunteer teachers include Lois Shields, Gertrude Allen, Yolanda Walker, Era Jean Jordan, Debra Austin and Elder Cal Wiggins. Volunteers for the Exploratory Classes included Art Instructor Jackie Jackson, Music Instructor Shameeka Johnson, Fitness Instructors Deacon Peter Austin and L.J. Walker; Nutrition Coordinators Pam Roberts, Sarah Outlaw and Rose Johnson. The VBS Secretary was Missionary Deliose Outlaw. The VBS Opening and Closing General Assembly Facilitator was Deacon Levi Walker.
