June 28, 2011

Jimmie Glen Quinn Morgan, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away on June 22 at her home.
Mrs. Morgan, "Meme," was born February 1, 1932 in Sturgis to C.H. and Gladys Quinn. She married George David Morgan on October 15, 1948 and they were married for 53 years before his passing in September 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sisters Eris Simmons, Berniece Johnson, and Avis Zepponi. She is survived by her sons, Michael Cary Morgan and his wife Debbie of Pasadena, Texas; George Lance Morgan and his wife Tammy of Ben Wheeler, Texas; and by the loves of her life, her grandchildren Lauren, Chance, and Cole. Survivors also include her brother-in-law, Bob Morgan and his wife, Helen of Alvin, Texas; and many dear nieces and nephews. She leaves to mourn so many wonderful friends that she loved deeply and considered them family.  Her sons and their families cannot express the appreciation and love they have for their "adopted’ sister," Grace Gonzalez, for all she did and all she meant to Meme and their family.
“A life that has made a difference in so many other lives will be well remembered. A soul that has lifted up other souls and encouraged the climb will be well honored. A person who turned the spirit of God’s love into living action will be well revered.” A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 26 at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Sturgis.
