Mrs. Lola Ingram Forbes, 101, of Grenada, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at Providence Assisted Living in Grenada. She was born September 27, 1909, in Kilmichael to Robert E. and Stella Tompkins Ingram. Mrs. Forbes was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she served on the Board of Trustees. She was also a member of the Grenada Garden Club, the Grenada Iris Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. Prior to retirement, she worked as the bookkeeper at Phillips Building Supply in Grenada.
 Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Grenada with Rev. J.C. Hubbard and Rev. Holly Morales officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be James Crawford, Fisher Crawford, James Cummins, Tom Forbes, Tim Forbes, Danny Sirmon and Daryl Paschall.
Survivors include two sons, James R. Forbes (Patricia) of Millry, Ala. and Richard E. Forbes (Bettye) of Starkville; a brother, Jewel Ingram of Kilmichael; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Labon T. Forbes, and two sisters, Mrs. J.E. Burns and Mrs. Jim Starkey.
