Final plats for Buffalo Wild Wings and University Club Condominiums will be up for approval at Tuesdayâ€™s meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission at 4:30 p.m.
The first item on the boardâ€™s agenda is a final subdivision plat that encapsulates both the restaurant and the condominiums, one that creates a separate parcel for each. The condominium parcel has a final plat of its own up for approval in a separate agenda item. City Planner Ben Griffithâ€™s staff report says both the subdivision plat and the condominium plat within it are both being presented at once â€śin order to eliminate any confusion with the applicantâ€™s lenders.â€ť
The subdivision plat is in the former location of the University Inn. While waiting for approval, Tabor Properties, LLC has already demolished the motel lobby building, and the report says the Buffalo Wild Wings on its former site is nearing completion. The final plat for Taborâ€™s condominiums allows for 52 multi-family residential condo units.
Another plat up for approval is just across the street from the Buffalo Wild Wings site. The commission will vote on a revision of the plat for the University Crossing shopping center that opens a new lot for development. The staff report says the new lot is in approximately the same location as a former ice manufacturer and vendor near Cadence Bank.
Finally, the commission will consider a plat revision request from Mike Brent for Stark Crossing, located at the northeastern corner of Eudora Welty and Abernathy Drives. The revision subdivides one of Stark Crossingâ€™s former lots into six in light of an underground drainage pipe Brent rerouted into a new drainage easement between the property and Eudora Welty Drive.
