FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The spotlight is shining on a new exhibit at MSU Libraries.
“Selections from the Dominic J. Cunetto Collection: Mississippi State University Theatre Productions” is on display throughout the month of July in Mitchell Memorial Library’s Information Mall. Featuring photographs, scrapbooks, news clippings, and program covers, this new exhibit highlights the work of the late Dr. Dominic J. Cunetto, professor emeritus and founder of the MSU theatre program.
Dr. Cunetto retired in 1991 after having positively influenced hundreds of students through a very strong theatre program. During his 28 years at MSU, he taught courses in theatre and directed over 80 productions. In addition, much of the major building project for the University Theatre in McComas Hall can be attributed to Dr. Cunetto’s diligent work toward the creation of a true academic theatre on MSU’s campus.
This new exhibit is viewable during regular Libraries hours, and the complete Dominic J. Cunetto Collection may be researched by contacting MSU Libraries’ University Archives at 662-325-7680.
