‘TOTALLY’ HELPING

July 26, 2011

Hayden Upperman holds up a sign advertising free car washes his youth group offered Monday afternoon at Piggly Wiggly. Hayden’s father, Greg Upperman, is the pastor of Corner Stone Baptist Church on Old West Point Road in Starkville. He said the “totally free car wash” was simply to give back to the community in the spirit of Christian love. Corner Stone Baptist Church members also served free hot dogs, chips and drinks Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. at J. L. King Senior Memorial Park. (Photo by Angie Carnathan, SDN)
