Maebell Ashley Palmertree

Maebell Ashley Palmertree, 99, passed away in Mathiston on August 9, 2011. She was a homemaker and member of the Bethany Church of God in Poplar Creek.  She was a wonderful granny, not just to her family but to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Denton Palmertree; grandson, James Michael Palmertree; sister, Faye Palmertree; and two brothers, Ira Ashley and Ozzy Ashley.
She is survived by her sister, Kate Dorman; four granddaughters, Sandi Fason, Donna Hester, Carrie White and Lorie Mullins; two grandsons, Jimmy and Tommy Palmertree; 13 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation for Ms. Palmertree is scheduled for Thursday, August 11 from 12-2 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Buster Palmertree will conduct the service.  Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Legacy Hospice or to the Sally Kate Winters Children's Home.
