Arthur D. Hill

Arthur D. Hill, 85, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at The Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville.  Mr. Hill was born February 3, 1926.  He was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church, veteran of WW II and retired from Mississippi State University after 39 1/2 years.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Edwards Hill; his two sons, Edward Douglas Hill and Tracy Lloyd Hill, both of Starkville; daughter, Judy Guyton of Russellville, Ala.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brother, Howard Hill of Richland; and a sister, Sue Evans of Ackerman.
Visitation for Mr. Hill is scheduled for Friday, August 12 from 10-11 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, with the service immediately following in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jason Middleton officiating and Rev. Jason Green bringing music. 
Burial will be in Choctaw County at Mt. Airy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS 39703.
