NOXAPATER – After a disappointing 20-12 week one loss to French Camp, Eupora bounced back in week two with a 41-21 win over Noxapater.
Vandy Smith led the Eagles to victory by rushing for 446 yards on 22 carries and found the end zone four times. Eupora's total rushing offense was 444 yards and they had only 40 yards passing.
Derek Jones was the star receiver on the night with three catches for 19 yards and Kevon Emery led the Eagle defense with 10 tackles.
"We played a really good team," said head coach Junior Graham. "They are very good offensively, well coached and have a special quarterback."
Eupora will host Winona next Friday night at 7: 30 p.m.
