Eupora softball wins pair of games in tourney

NEW ALBANY – The Eupora softball team posted a 2-1 record Saturday at the Robinson's Sportswear Tournament in New Albany.
The Lady Eagles topped Myrtle 7-5, lost to Nettleton 8-2, then beat Belmont 7-1.
The day's events put Eupora's overall record at 10-2 for the season.
The Lady Eagles return to action Monday, hosting Houston and Weir.
Eupora faces Houston at 5 p.m. before facing Weir at 7 p.m. on Monday.

East Webster softball wins one, drops two

NEW ALBANY – The East Webster softball team won its opening game of the Robinson's Sportswear Tournament Saturday in New Albany before losing its final two contests.
The Lady Wolverines used a 25-hit attack to defeat Myrtle 18-9, then lost to Columbus 6-5 before falling to Nettleton 15-0.
After Saturday's games, East Webster's overall record is now 5-5 for the season.
The Lady Wolverines return to play on Tuesday in a home doubleheader against Leake County that begins at 4:30 p.m.
