TUPELO – The Starkville High volleyball team posted a winning record Saturday at the Tupelo Volleyfest.
In pool play, the Lady Yellowjackets beat Ripley by total points, winning the first set 25-19 and dropping the second set 27-25.
SHS followed that match with a loss to Tupelo, falling by scores of 25-9 and 25-15.
Against Aberdeen, Starkville recorded a victory 25-18 and 25-9.
Facing Northwest Rankin, SHS again won by total points, losing the first set 25-19 before recovering to take the second set 25-13.
After finishing second in pool play, the Lady Jackets advanced to face St. Joseph in the tournament quarterfinals where SHS was beaten 25-8 and 25-18.
After Saturday's action, the Lady Jackets overall record now sits at 10-6.
SHS returns to play on Tuesday by hosting Ackerman at the Starkville Sportsplex.
