MCGEE —Deborah Gail McBroom Wade, 51, of Baton Rouge, La., formerly of Magee and Jackson, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services were held in Magee on Aug. 10 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
She was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She was a native of Magee and resident of Baton Rouge, La., for 19 years. Debbie worked for the Jackson Police Department Narcotics Division and the Hinds County District Attorney's office as a secretary. She also worked as a purchasing agent at the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Reginald R. Wade; daughter, Caitlyn M. Wade; mother, Evelyn McBroom; brother, Robert McBroom, Jr., and wife, Kim; sisters, Pat Bailey-Brown, Linda Ferguson and husband, George; mother-in-law, Margaret Wade of Starkville; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Wade Stone and husband Jimmy of Vernon, Ala., and Debbie Lynn Wade of Starkville. She also had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert W. McBroom, Sr.
Memorial may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association or to the local humane society.
