Body discovered in County Lake Road area

Oktibbeha County deputies were dispatched to the area of County Lake Road, north of Harrell Road after a female body was discovered by a group of people riding four-wheelers Sunday.
Sheriff Dolph Bryan said deputies were dispatched to the scene sometime before noon Sunday after individuals discovered a body in the area of a TVA electrical transmission line. According to a release by the sheriff’s department, the body appeared to have been in the area for some time.
Bryan said investigators have yet to identify the body and are awaiting the results of an autopsy and positive identification before releasing any other details.
