Mr. John Draper Nason Jr., 82, passed away at Carrington Nursing Facility in Starkville on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011.
Visitation for Mr. Nason will be held on Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Wake Forest Baptist Church in Sturgis.
Burial will follow in the church Cemetery.
Mr. Nason was preceded in death by a grandchild, Draper Jackson; a granddaughter-in-law, Natalie Nason; sisters, Pauline Jackson and Dorothy Gill; and brothers, James Nason and Raymond Nason.
He is survived by his son, John Draper Nason, III (Emma) of Sturgis; daughter, Roe Ann Jackson (Ed) of Sturgis; grandchildren, John Draper Nason, IV and Kasii Umland; four great grandchildren, John Draper Nason V., Emily Nason, Peyton Umland and Tyler Umland; sisters Vitula Edmonds, Theople Hurst, Annette Allen, Patsy Wilson, and Bobbie Magee; brothers, Gerald Nason and Mike Nason.
